What is I SPY?

I SPY is a series of art books published by Scholastic. The photographer, Walter Wick, creates massive sets of small items that range from fantastical scenes to seaside retreats. The point of these books? FIND THE HIDDEN ITEMS! The riddles, written by Jean Marzollo, tell you what to find, and they can be super difficult!

Some images were used more than once across multiple books, usually in the "brain teaser" editions, made to be super hard. Other images were put in a sequence that told a story. Whatever the case, the images are always a treat for the eyes. The best part? NO CGI! All of these sets were built by hand!

This page serves as my love letter to the series, and a list of my collected books.
