Hadrian Mechanicus Specio is a little robot built in Ancient Rome. He was blessed by Vulcan to have a soul. He is put in situations because I love him.

Originally invented for a Night at the Museum fanfiction I wrote in 2023, Hadrian has evolved into a little fella I love to show people. He's a friend to all!

He does have an adult body, but I haven't drawn it yet. That story involves his girlfriend; I'll write it soon.

Optio

In Rome, sometime in the late Flavian period, a little robot is built by two military smiths. He slots right into the army, being appointed an optio for the signifer of the Second Century of the infantry. His duty is to deliver mail, wages, and other correspondence. It helps that he boosts the morale of the soldiers around him.

This narrative is the default for "child" Hadrian. In this setting he is 7-10 years old.

A Human's Touch

Hadrian is an adult automaton, brought into the world in isolation, until he meets a woman with paint on her shoes.

This story is being made into a novel, so it'll be a while until it's done.
